Space Blue Pirates

The Space Blue Pirates are an unteamed faction in Star Sonata. A pseudo-3d MMORPG set in a hostile universe. Currently I lead a Team by the same, so feel free to join the game and blow me up!

Being A Space Blue Pirate!

If the pirate’s life is for you, the Space Blue Pirates do it all, from smuggling secret cargo, to developing technology.

From our base in Blue Outpost, spanning across EarthForce layer, we endeavour to liberate merchants of their heavy cargo, allowing them to manoeuvre better, avoid annoying Enforcer and Fuzz ships and generally compete to provide people with the best quality we can achieve.

In general Space Blue Pirates do not operate as a marked team due to legal issues with EarthForce.

If you’re planning on visiting us, light armaments and poor shielding are appreciated, and a nice cargo of Space Whiskey will go down a treat!

Leadership

Barbe Bleu

Barbe Bleu runs the Space Blue Pirates hiding out in Blue Outpost. Known for his blue beard, and his love of Space Whiskey, he’s always down to settle disagreements with a laser blast.

Topaz Eye Jimmy

Topaz Eye Jimmy is responsible for smuggling in and out of Blue Outpost. He works hard to ensure that the Enforcers are paid off, and trade is profitable.

Space Blue Shipyard

The Space Blue ship lineup is interesting. The light fighters tend to be slower than other light fighters, but make up for it in energy regeneration, and radar, allowing them to focus on outlasting their enemies, and not having to focus on hullspace, they are very effective when it comes to gearing your ships. Hull capacity can always be a problem especially at early levels, when it’s not easy to sacrifice the limited augmenter slots for more space and the inbuilt energy regeneration means they can adapt to augmenter setups other ships cannot sustain.

Space Blue Ships are built differently. Not the most brilliant ships in Star Sonata… But they have their place in the universe.

Tech 2

Salvaged Space Blue

The Salvaged Space Blue is an efficient ship which is highly adaptable in a series of different roles. As a combat ship, it is at the top of it’s game. With 4 augmenter slots it can fulfil a variety of different lineups. Personally, I find them to be some of the most functional mining ships in the game. Though they also make good escort combat bots, with their inbuilt bonuses allowing to focus on optimizing your augmenter setup. The ship is small and relatively lightweight allowing it to manoeuvre well.

Space Blue Prototype

The Space Blue Prototype is not the most effective combat ship, with a larger hull than the Salvaged Space Blue, it has room for larger equipment, but it is far more useful as a transport ship for cargo, as it’s weight makes it not very optimal for battle situations. The inbuilt shield modifier helps keep it alive, but with only two augmenter slots, your options are limited. That said, the Prototype is a stylish way to deliver cargo in relative safety.

Tech 3

Space Blue Alpha Scout

The Space Blue Alpha Scout is a fairly decent vessel that bridges the gap between the Prototype and Salvaged Space Blue. With 3 augmenter slots it can fulfil a variety of different lineups, but is more limited than the Salvaged Space Blue. Personally, I find them to fall behind compared to what the Outlaw’s Volcom can offer in combat roles, but it’s still a strong contender for it’s tech level.

Tech 4

Space Blue Hunter

The Space Blue Hunter is sleek, sophisticated and beautiful. This is really where it’s benefits end. It’s fast with reasonable cargo space, which allows it to function well as a cargo transporter. Three augmenter slots and reasonable hull space will allow for larger equipment, but ultimately, the ship falls short in it’s combat capabilities and should ideally be stripped down to optimise for the largest cargo possible.

Tech 5

Space Blue Alpha

The Space Blue Alpha is a reliable ship for combat, perfect for the budding pirate. With a large amount of hull space and 3 augmenter slots, it’s designed to take a beating and dish it out. Whilst not the most effective combat ship at it’s tech level, they can fulfil a variety of roles, allowing adaptability in use that other ships like the Mzungu Disk cannot match.

Tech 7

Space Blue Alpha Interceptor

The Space Blue Alpha Interceptor falls behind the wingship in speed, but makes up for it in hullspace, creating a fast yet stocky fighter that can go toe to toe with enemies at it’s level. It falls behind some of the lower tech ships, but has the ability to cover many different roles.

Space Blue Alpha Transwarp

The Space Blue Alpha Transwarp sacrifices hull for speed. It’s a rather annoying ship to get hold of, however it has some fantastic uses as a mining bot, and the inbuilt microwarper charges quickly and efficiently. Overall, whilst despised by the playerbase for it’s relative uselessness, it’s a quirky ship for those who want to be a space blue pilot.

Tech 8

Space Blue Alpha Advanced x1

The Space Blue Alpha Advanced is a fairly cool ship with 4 augmenter slots allowing it to make the most of it’s capabilities. With a small amount of energy regeneration and a decent radar, they can be set up to hit enemies from a decent range and obliterate them fairly easily depending on how you set the ship up. It lacks the inbuilt shielding bonuses of many of the earlier fighters, but more than makes up for it with it’s augmenter slot. Unlike it’s predecessors that suffer from 3 augmenter slots, this ship benefits the most from having a hue augmenter, which gives excellent energy regeneration, good bank and adds the resistances light fighters lack allowing it to shine with it’s beam resistance. A truly awesome, if ugly ship.

Tech 10

Space Blue Beta

The Space Blue Beta is the pride of the fleet. The most beautiful ship ever built. With solid resistances this heavy fighter can hold it’s own in EarthForce Layer. The Blue Beta is a hardy reliable ship that can handle itself in almost every situation. I highly recommend it.

Tech 13

Space Blue Gamma Scout

The Space Blue Gamma Scout is the Space Blue Gamma’s ugly cousin. It comes with a fairly functional missile bay, which is fairly usable. The Space Blue Gamma Scout is relatively effective at surviving the hostile areas of EarthForce Layer, but it falls short compared to similar ships.

Energy Regeneration: 20
Critical Resistance: +15%

Tech 15

Space Blue Gamma

The Space Blue Gamma is a grotesque abomination. What it lacks in looks it makes up for in firepower, with the help of it’s fighter bay. One of the few heavy fighters in the game that can actually use fighters, it can use it’s fighter to distract the enemy whilst it lays out some serious firepower.

Energy Regeneration: 20
Critical Resistance: +17%
