Dreamscape

Dreamscape started off as a full feature length film. Due to the enormous (well at least by my standards) cast, I set things up to film so that we would all be there the one day I could get everyone. Most of my crew defected to my partner (at the time) and another film maker, and she nicked my main filming camera for the day leaving me in a morass of despair. This is the result of me rewriting everything on the spot and running with a much smaller cast. I hope you enjoy it as much as I suffered to make it!

Craigs List

Imagine, if you will, a world populated by Craigs. This found footage film took a long time to get right. It’s the harrowing story of a group of Craigs who are trying to make a found footage film whilst in the background… Secretly… a Chad lurks. Darned Chads, they ruin life for Craigs everywhere! I had to work hard to make the footage look worse for this one because the original footage is pin sharp perfect thanks to the AF-101E we filmed on. It’s got the longest watch time of any of my films, so I guess it’s better than I thought!

Monkey Madness

This is the result of what happens when a group of students are trying to make a movie and “Bill Blight” ridicules their script and mocks them. I had to do a 2 day rewrite of a previously brilliant script and turned it into a sci-fi disasterpiece. The film features 72 references to film because “Bill Blight” was apparently a film buff. This is one of the best shorts I worked on purely due to the urge of the whole crew to make something truly purposefully dreadful.

Survival - Doctor Who Fan Film

When I met Daniel Pederson for the first time at our local station, we re-enacted the last scene from Blake’s 7 completely at random, confusing onlookers. This is one of his film projects, and I and Will Grantham agreed to help make it. Together we made a great piece of artwork set in the Doctor Who universe without stepping on the toes of the BBC. It’s got some dark themes.

Planet of Horror

This short actually ended up being part of a larger film directed ultimately by Nick Box, it was basically a test of different sci fi effects, both musical and basic special effects techniques. Long time collaborator Rikki worked on this one with me, and we made some great classic low budget sci fi art… Well, if you can call it art.

Somewhere

I earned my producer role for this one. Whilst I was originally an executive producer, the film was nowhere near to completion and the project was almost shelved. I pushed and pushed until they finally completed it, and whilst it wasn’t as long as it was supposed to be, we ended up with something… Which is better than nothing at all. I rather love this film because it was my chance to work with some really talented people that I’d never met!
